Ok, I'm back.

I took a big long hiatus from posting on this blog. I'm afraid that between updating my "family blog", playing on facebook, and trying to spend a little time OFF the computer, my own personal blog got the short end of the stick.

But I have fun news to bring me out of hiding!

I was asked a couple days ago to join the team at Piggy Tales and 3M as a designer. I am thrilled to be working with their fun, vibrant papers and equally thrilled to have the following ladies as teammates:

Charity Hassel
Elizabeth Carney
Kim Collee
Melanie Douthit
Heidi Sonboul
Ruth Clarke
Linda Harrison
Paula Gilarde
Mou Saha
Jennifer Armentrout
Leah LaMontagne

When I told the kids about my good news, (they are 5 and 3), they cracked UP about the words "Piggy Tales." Silly boys. ;)

NYC Scraps

I had the pleasure a while back of making some layouts for an online scrap techniques class being taught by Sherry Steveson at www.nycscraps.com.

There is a TON of info over there, and the class will be one not to miss. Come check it out!

Scrapperie July Kit

Look at all these goodies I have been given to play with! This kit is the July kit, entitled "Estate Sale" from Scrapperie. Lots of pretty papers from My Mind's Eye, Basic Grey, and Websters pages. HOW did I not know about Websters Pages? Their papers are drop-dead gorgeous. Very feminine and vintage-y (is that a word?). I think I am hooked. Check them out at www.websterspages.com.

Chatty Cathy RAK

Ok, I have reached 2000 posts over at Studio Calico, so in honor of that milestone, I would like to have a little challenge with a RAK attached for one of my SC gals.

As many of you know, I am co-founder of the techniques challenge blog Method Playground. www.methodplayground.blogspot.com. Coincedentally, I am hosting the new challenge that began today. So... I'm thinking I'll kill 2 birds with one stone (or as my DH would say, feed 2 birds with one crumb).

Here is what you need to do:

(1) Participate in the current challenge at Method Playground. Link your layout there.
(2) Post your layout at SC
(3) Link me up here so I know you are playing my chatty cathy RAK game.

Along with being entered for the regular RAK at MP, you will be entered into a random drawing for a RAK from me. Make sense?

The RAK is gonna be a grab bag of all kinds of goodies that I have collected over the past year from Studio Calico. I am going to put something together tonight and post a photo tomorrow.

You have until the close of the MP challenge, which is done on July 27 at midnight.

Ready? Set? GO!

When Ostriches Attack

Here is a fun little layout I made for the Weekly Challenge over at Scrapbooks Etc. The challenge was to use at least 8 photos on a page. It is digital and largely made freehand. I drew the circles, title, etc. If you WANTED to go over and take a look, please feel free at:

Happy Wednesday, everyone.
